We’ll pop round to talk through your ideas and learn what you want from the project. We’ll carry out an initial survey then supply our quotation. We’ll also put you in touch with our previous clients, to see our standard of work for yourself.

Once you’ve agreed our quote, if you have architectural drawings, we can work with them. If not, our architect will get started on drawing up the perfect project.

It is likely you’ll need the services of a structural engineer to make the calculations that will ensure your project is structurally sound. We can work with your preferred contractor or add in this service for you. Should it be necessary, we can also put you in touch with a party wall surveyor.

We know that choosing materials – a new kitchen or bathroom – can be tricky, but we’re here to help. Working with exceptional suppliers, whose eye for detail matches our own, we’ll make suggestions that work for your space and your vision.

Most loft conversions and many house extensions don’t need planning permission. They can be completed under what’s called permitted development. Some projects will, however, need planning permission from your local council. Our architects will advise you and we can help you through the application process.

If your project will include work on a party wall, shared with your next-door neighbour, you will need their consent before beginning. They may request that you pay for a party wall survey. We can help you through the process, so your project stays on schedule and your relationship with your neighbour remains amicable.

Even if you don’t require planning permission, your project will need to comply with building regulations. We will help you submit plans to building control – whether the local council or a private service - and work alongside them to check the project at each critical stage.

With all the planning complete, and the contract in place, we’ll make a start on your project. Our timescale for a loft conversion is roughly eight to ten weeks, depending on the work agreed and the complexity of the job, or 12 weeks for an extension. Bathroom and kitchen refits can be completed in three to five weeks.
